Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

1 package yeast

1½ cup warm water

2 tablespoons oil

1¼ cup whole wheat flour

2 tablespoons sugar

½ teaspoon salt

1 ¾ white flour

In a bowl, dissolve yeast in water, add oil. Add wheat flour, sugar and salt to yeast mixture. Stir until smooth. Stir in enough white flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 6 to 8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turn once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 15 to 20 minutes. Punch down dough and pat onto a greased pizza pan or cookie sheet. Top with your favorite pizza sauce and pizza toppings.

Hint: To make a stuffed crust; use string cheese and roll the edges of the dough around the cheese and seal.
